- Ignite - Form 8
For younger students in F8, the Ignite level is the perfect opportunity to get a glimpse into the inner workings of various organisations. By observing real-life interactions in the workplace, students will broaden their horizons and discover exciting new career possibilities. And with a 2-day placement on the 27th and 28th of May 2024, they'll get the chance to showcase their skills through an oral presentation and receive valuable feedback from the company.
- Launch - Form 11
For older students who are gearing up for life beyond school, the Launch level is where the magic happens. With a focus on the students' preferences and skills, this level provides an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a profession they're passionate about. With a placement that lasts from 3 days to 2 weeks between the 3rd of June to the 4th of September or the 28th of October to the 31st of October, students will have ample time to explore their chosen field. Plus, with the chance to present their experiences to the company and receive feedback, the Launch level promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Industry placements, like the CLIP Take-Off Programme, provide students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insight into the professional world. By working alongside industry professionals, students can develop skills that can't be taught in a classroom setting, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.
Additionally, industry placements allow students to explore their interests and passions in a real-world setting. This can be especially helpful for students who are unsure of what career path to pursue, as it allows them to try out different fields before committing to a particular course of study.
These programmes also help students build a professional network, which can be invaluable when applying for jobs after graduation. By working with professionals in their chosen field, students can make valuable connections and gain insight into what employers are looking for in candidates.
By providing them with real-world experience and an opportunity to develop crucial skills, these placements can help set students up for success in their future careers.
