CLIP – The Oporto International School, accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), was established in 1990 and has approximately 1200 students, aged 3 to 18, from over 50 countries.  All students have an education that upholds the highest academic standards within a globally minded learning culture. CLIP follows an adapted version of the National Curriculum for England, building strong foundations in core subjects before moving on to Cambridge International programmes and qualifications, including IGCSE and A-Level/AICE Diploma. The curriculum emphasises STEM, humanities, languages, and the arts, fostering independent learning and critical thinking. Digital tools are integrated across disciplines, highlighting CLIP’s commitment to digital literacy.   For the academic year 2026-2027, we are recruiting a proficient English-speaking Business / Economics teacher (Upper School) to join our team.   Requirements Applicants must hold a university degree in Business or Economics and recognised teaching qualification (PGCE). Applicants should possess a valid European Union passport or working permit allowing them to work in Portugal. Applicants should demonstrate qualities such as innovation, creativity, collaboration and flexibility.   Key Responsibilities Planning and teaching engaging lessons aligned with Cambridge curriculum standards for IGCSE, AS and A Level. Providing tailored support to students with different learning needs. Evaluating student progress and giving constructive feedback. Constructing a positive learning environment and managing student behaviour effectively. Applicants should possess a valid European Union passport or working permit allowing them to work in Portugal. Possess qualities such as innovation, creativity, collaboration and flexibility.   Key Responsibilities   Teaching a range of classes, including MS Language and Literature broadly based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales. Teaching Cambridge International IGCSE English Language (0500), Literature (0475), A Level Language (9093) and A Level Literature (9695). Working as part of a team and contribute to the school community.  Creating innovative resources to share collaboratively with the team. Take part in professional development to improve practice.
