CLIP – The Oporto International School, founded in 1990, is a private educational institution of recognised quality, accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), with approximately 1,200 students aged between 3 and 18, from over 50 countries. CLIP is committed to safeguarding pupils and promoting their welfare.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, the school is recruiting a qualified Portuguese teacher for Middle School (national curriculum) and Upper School (international curriculum – Cambridge International).
Requirements
- Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures or Languages, Literatures and Cultures, specialising in Portuguese;
- Qualified teacher status, duly recognised in Portugal, in accordance with current legislation (Decree-Law no. 79/2014).
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching Portuguese Language and Literature;
- Strong classroom management and pedagogical organisation skills;
- Ability to differentiate teaching, adapting methodologies to different learning profiles;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong sense of responsibility regarding the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people;
- Competence in using information and communication technologies in an educational context;
- Professional profile characterised by flexibility, proactivity and a student-centred approach;
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, at a minimum level of B1.
