The final stage of the Portuguese National Under‑18 Women’s Basketball Championship took place in May at the Pavilhão da Física in Torres Vedras.   As the country’s main youth competition in this age group, it brought together four of the strongest teams in Portugal: CRC Quinta dos Lombos, Sporting CP, CLIP Teams and CPN.  Sporting CP finished at the top to claim the national title, with CRC Quinta dos Lombos securing second place, while CPN concluded the tournament in fourth place.   CLIP Teams delivered a particularly positive campaign, competing strongly against top opposition and earning an impressive third-place finish! Individual performances were also recognised through the selection of the All-Star Five, which included CLIP Teams' Maria Marcelino! Congratulations!   Overall, the competition highlighted the quality and promise of youth women’s basketball in Portugal, with CLIP Teams standing out for their strong, spirited performances and securing a well-deserved place among the top three teams in the country. EU and I, November 19th, with a view over the Douro — is it a date?   The 64th Edition of the Model European Parliament (iMEP) is taking place in Porto, from the 19th to the 26th of November, bringing together students from across Europe for an inspiring experience in dialogue, diplomacy, and democratic engagement. Hosted by CLIP Oporto International School in one of Portugal’s most historic and vibrant cities, this edition offers delegates the opportunity to step into the role of Members of the European Parliament and actively debate the key political, social, economic, and environmental issues facing Europe today.   Over the course of the event, delegates will collaborate in international committees, develop resolutions, engage in structured debates, and practise consensus‑building while representing diverse perspectives. Beyond policy discussions, the iMEP experience promotes critical thinking, public speaking, cultural exchange, and a deeper understanding of European values.   The 64th iMEP taking place in Porto stands as a celebration of youth voice, cooperation, and active citizenship, empowering young people to shape ideas for Europe’s future.
